These Terms & Conditions govern your use of https://wemakeshadows.com and all products offered by WeMakeShadows. By using this website and placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Products and Custom Artwork

WeMakeShadows creates personalized silhouette shadow art. Customers must provide accurate and usable photos, notes, or text. Our artists manually prepare a silhouette based on your image and provide a digital preview before production.

We reserve the right to decline any content that may infringe copyrights, violate privacy, or present legal or ethical risks.

Fragile Shadow Components and Replacement Parts

The shadow elements used to create the silhouette effect are precision-cut decorative components. Due to their thin and detailed structure, they may be fragile during assembly or may break easily if the frame is accidentally dropped after installation.

For this reason, each package includes backup shadow pieces not only for potential breakage during assembly but also for situations where the frame may fall. This ensures that customers can continue using the product even if a part breaks.

We are continuously working on material and structural improvements to enhance durability and reduce breakage risk in future versions of the product.

Photos Unsuitable for Shadow Art

If the submitted photo is technically unsuitable for creating shadow art (poor silhouette, incorrect angle, overly dark/white, or impossible to interpret), our artists and art director will review it. If the photo cannot be converted into shadow art, the order will be fully refunded with no deduction.

Order Approval, Digital Work, and Cancellation

Custom products enter production only after the digital preview is approved by the customer. Any potential deductions during the digital work phase are determined jointly by the artist and art director. Deductions are not automatic; a full refund may be issued whenever deemed fair.

1) If digital work has not started:
A full refund with no deduction is issued.

2) If the first digital preview has been created:
If the customer requests cancellation after receiving the first preview, the artist and art director may choose between:
– Up to 9 USD / 9 EUR / 400 TRY deduction, or
– Full refund.

3) If one revision has been completed:
The artist and art director may choose between:
– Up to 15 USD / 15 EUR / 650 TRY deduction, or
– Full refund.

4) If three revisions have been completed and approval is still not received:
The artist may:
– Cancel the order with a 15 USD / 15 EUR / 650 TRY deduction,
– Provide a full refund,
– Or continue revisions (not mandatory).

Revision Policy

Revision-related deductions follow the rules above. Revisions are performed within artistic and technical limits. If further revisions would compromise the design, the artist and art director may stop the process and cancel the order.

Other Products

WeMakeShadows may offer additional lighting products, accessories, replacement parts, or other decorative items. Even if these items are not personalized, their usage, warranty, returns, and shipping are governed by the general terms on this page.

Production Time

Standard production time is 3–5 business days after approval. This includes manual silhouette work, laser cutting, assembly, and quality control.

Shipping Policy

We ship worldwide. Delivery times vary by country, carrier, and customs. Free shipping is offered for U.S. orders over 50 USD. WeMakeShadows is not responsible for carrier delays.

Returns and Refunds

Personalized items are only eligible for return if they arrive damaged or defective. You must contact us within 7 days of delivery and provide photo/video evidence.

Non-personalized accessories may be returned within 30 days if unused. Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the error is from WeMakeShadows.

Color, Lighting, and Display Variations

Due to differences in lighting, screen settings, and material texture, real product appearance may differ slightly from online images. Such differences are not considered defects.

Intellectual Property

All digital previews, silhouettes, and final shadow artworks created by WeMakeShadows are for personal use only. Reproduction, reselling, copying, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

Limitation of Liability

WeMakeShadows is not liable for carrier delays, incorrect installation, misuse, or force majeure. Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the order.
